Directed the officers to complete the development works within the stipulated time
Gurdaspur, January 1 ( ) – Chairman of District Planning Committee Gurdaspur Advocate Jagroop Singh Sekhwan today held a special meeting with the officials of Revenue Department, Rural Development and Panchayat Department, Food and Civil Supplies Department and Forest Department at his office of District Planning Committee in Gurdaspur to review the ongoing development works in the district. During the meeting, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Mr. Gurpreet Singh Gill, SDM Gurdaspur Dr. Karamjit Singh, District Food and Civil Supplies Controller Gurdaspur Mr. Sukhjinder Singh, DDPO Gurdaspur S. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, officials of Forest Department and Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar of the district were present.
Presiding over the meeting, Advocate Jagroop Singh Sekhwan, Chairman of District Planning Committee Gurdaspur, directed the officers to complete the various development works going on in the district within the stipulated time. He asked the officers to personally go to the spot and inspect the development works and ensure that the quality of the development works is as per the norms. Apart from this, he also reviewed the various welfare schemes being run by the Punjab Government. He said that the benefits of the government’s welfare schemes should be extended to the needy. He said that the officers and employees should perform their duties with complete honesty, hard work and transparency and give full respect to the people who come to get work done in the offices and their work should be done on merit.
S. Jagroop Singh Sekhwan said that the state government led by Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann is the government of the common people and the government is making sincere efforts to uplift every section of the society. He said that during the year 2025, while the state of Punjab will experience all-round development, Gurdaspur district will also touch new heights of development.
